THE DESIGN PROCESS
Initial Design Consultation
Once we have an idea of your design brief, outlining who will be using the space, your specific needs, ideas or preferences and an indication of your budget, we can get started. We might further explore the brief using imagery from magazines and online, to inspire and steer, giving everyone a sense of the design direction. This initial step is key in the process. Very often we work with our clients to develop a clear brief.
We will send a summary of any meetings, details of our design services and our terms & conditions for your review – and will then be ready to move forward.
Design Concept Phase
Guided by the design brief, we will create a selection of sample boards, visuals and floor plans that will give an indication of the look and feel of the completed project. We will meet several times in these early stages to refine design elements such as layouts, color schemes, fabrics, furniture, flooring, lighting and wall finishes. With the concept agreed, and your approval on scope of works, timing and budget – we will begin implementing and coordinating the project.
Project Implementation & Coordination
This is the action phase. We liaise with contractors, specialist designers and suppliers to execute the project in accordance with the design brief, scope of works, time line & budget. We meet regularly to discuss progress.
Installation, Styling & Finishing Touches
With all items complete and delivered to the site, we will position furniture, as well as style and dress the space eg. install window treatments, soft furnishings, artwork and accessories. This is the last phase of our work before handover.
