THE DESIGN PROCESS
Initial Design Consultation
Prior to us meeting we ask that you return a questionnaire to outline your “design brief” e.g. who will be using the space, any needs, ideas or preferences and an indication of your budget. These can be communicated to us either verbally or visually using images from magazines, websites, etc. We encourage you to do this as many clients want to be part of the design process but don’t know where to start. Equally if you want to leave the design decisions to us that is fine too.
We will send you a summary of our meeting, details of our design service and our terms & conditions for your review.
Design Concept Phase
Once appointed, we will create a selection of sample boards, visuals and floor plans to give you an indicative “look and feel” of the finished project based on your “design brief”. We will meet several times in these early stages to refine the design elements: which include layouts, color schemes, fabrics, furniture, flooring, lighting and wall finishes etc.
Once the design concept, scope of works, time line & budget have been approved we will start implementing and coordinating the project.
Project Implementation & Coordination
In this phase everything starts coming together. We liaise with contractors, specialist designers and suppliers to execute the project in accordance with the design brief, scope of works, time line & budget. We normally arrange weekly meetings with you on site to discuss the progress of the project. This ensures snagging is kept to a minimum.
Installation, Styling & Finishing Touches
Once the works are complete and all the design elements are on site we will position furniture and style and dress the space with window treatments, soft furnishings, artwork and accessories.
